Hearty, homey local spot. The Canadiana burger was very very tasty. I would have preferred a poured orange juice in a glass, even if it was Tropicana or something, but they serve the bottled type. It was alright though, not the focus of the meal. The service was great, very friendly.

We came up to the cottage to celebrate a Bachelorette and found ourselves (all 9 of us) at Kirkfield. After consulting Yelp, we stepped into this restaurant and were greeted by very friendly staff. It seems like a family run business with a comfortable, cozy atmosphere.
The food was delicious! The onion rings were so crispy and fresh, and the Zeus platter.. oh my! I'm drooling just thinking about it - caramelized onion, mushrooms and I got mine with a grilled chicken breast instead of a traditional burger. Our waitress was very accommodating about the substitution. The food was fresh and delicious, and despite the large group, all orders were received on time with no mix-ups. I'll definitely be going back when I'm back in the area. -

They have all day breakfast, and their house specialty is burger, sandwiches, are loaded with toppings. The staffs and service is absolutely excellent.
For breakfast is a good choice, and if you are looking for fast food round the area, don't go to the chain (like McDonald Wendy's etc), go to Kirkfield Restaurant for a take out. -

Delicious and authentic Greek food right in the heart of cottage country in the Kawartha's. This is a wonderful local food joint with the usual fish and chips style fair, which is great by the way, that also offers surprising tasty Greek offerings.
The Gyro and souvlaki make my mouth water every time I think about them and the Zeus burger is one of my all time favourites from anywhere.
The service is very pleasant and the small time atmosphere is welcome bonus. -

Popped in here on our drive back to Toronto from a camping weekend. The service was nice but often not present and available for when you needed another glass of water or just had a question to ask. I can't comment on most things on the menu as I was not feeling it (my companions wanted to come here and were mostly unable to finish their meals due to the portion size). I ordered a poutine. It was large cut fries, gravy and shredded cheese, so not a real poutine. Still pretty good, if massive. I'll probably never be in this area again, and if I am, I'm not sure if I would return. It just didn't seem to have much going that would be of value or interest to me. That said, this is still a nice place to pop in for a meal and seems to be doing well, esp considering there isn't much else there (unless you count fast food as an option).
